One step closer to collaborative robotics with TOURING (3rd meeting)

During the 17th and 18th of November, the partners of the TOURINGS project met at the CETEM facilities, after a first year of an ongoing project without face-to-face meetings.

During this first meeting, the results developed so far were presented:

  • report on the situation in Europe on the installation of collaborative robotics in different manufacturing sectors and its impact,
  • A training curriculum from which the didactic content will be developed, distributed in 5 topics.

After the presentation of these main results, the consortium focused on the structure of this training content, which will be composed of different text documents and videos to provide the most truthful examples and offer the student all the necessary knowledge to start up the robot, program and reprogram its actions, ensure an optimal collaboration with the operators and maintain the balance in the assembly line despite the installation of new technological solutions.

In this context, the project will also develop a Blueprint at European level to be able to integrate the contents developed in different Vocational Training courses in the different EU countries, as well as in the different degrees or masters of specialisation in robotics.

The meeting was attended by the German Hochschule Karlsruhe University (HKA), the German research centre Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) and the Estonian manufacturing engineering innovation centre IMECC. The Italian certification body UNINFO and the French business school IMT-BS also participated via teleconference.
